Sierra Vista Arizona is located in the far southeast region of Arizona, also known as Cochise County. Cochise County is considered a rural location with Sierra Vista being the hub of commercial business, shopping, dining, etc.. Bisbee is the County seat and also a very scenic tourist town. We enjoy a very moderate climate here and are known as a “high desert” location. Sierra Vista is the home of the Army’s Fort Huachuca Intelligence Military Base and provides many employment opportunities for the community. Areas out lying Sierra Vista include Hereford, Huachuca City, Tombstone and Bisbee. Sierra Vista AZ is only 30 miles to the Interstate 10 and another 60 miles to Tucson. After spending 45 summers in Phoenix, I cannot even begin to describe the very wonderful summers in the Sierra Vista area. Summer nights are cool and it is easy to enjoy the outdoors. Sierra Vista and Bisbee host a local farmers market each week where locally grown foods and meat cuts and homemade goodies are available. Sierra Vista Arizona and it’s surrounding communities is a wonderful place to raise a family or retire.
